Article (141)

Fed Law 14/2018 Issued on 1/10/2018

Whoever intentionally mutilates, destroys or tears up Currency publicly shall be punished by imprisonment and a fine that is not less than ten thousand Dirhams (AED 10,000) or one of these two punishments.

Whoever, publicly and intentionally mutilates, destroys or tears up Currency, shall be punished by a fine, which shall be the greater of one thousand (1,000) Dirham and ten (10) times the value of the mutilated, destroyed or torn Currency.
